FUNcaytion at Trees Residence, Fairview

By Mhownai - October 17, 2019

Over the weekend, my partner, Eco and I decided to let down our hair and had a staycation. As we all know, I am working and studying at the same time and both of us are managing our businesses while him, on the other side is hustling to start his career in the culinary world which gives us less time for each other and on top of that, we have been more stressed than ever.

So he suggested to have an over night staycation so that we can bond as a family and we can also take a rest and refrain ourselves from thinking about anything related to our work and business and life.

Looking for a perfect place to hangout can be quite challenging-- more and more industries and condo owners have decided to rent their place for a short period of time giving more options for people who are craving for relaxation; which I have to admit since there are so many option.

On top of our list of options, here are the factors we need to take in consideration:
  • Price
  • Ambiance
  • Accessibility
  • Amenities
  • Child Friendly
With all out pool of options, we landed to -- Francisco's Place Staycation

It is a 2-bedroom condo unit located in Trees Residences in Fairview (near SM Fairview going towards Lagro)

The price is right!

The price is 1,800 / per night (but it is subject to change depending on the owners and on peak season) to be honest, this is very affordable thinking that the place has 2 bedrooms. When we first saw it, I guess it can accompany over 5 people (including kids). On the first bedroom, they have a bed that can fit 2 people. On the other bedtroom, they have a single bed that can fit 1 person. On the living room, the sofa can be turned into bed which can fit 2 people and they have 2 single person matress that you can lay on the bedroom floor.

Ambiance means relaxation- less clutter is the best!

I am all about ambiance because I really want a place we can call it a home, upon entering the condo unit, I felt a homey feeling and the owners are very much accommodating. The style of the home was minimalist, canvas print of cities were drapped on the walls.

The unit has 2 airconditioner unit which makes the place over all cool for their guests to have a comfortable stay and have a good night sleep.

You know what guys, in the evening of our stay the airconditioner was really cold that I asked my partner to turn off 1 AC because I am literally shivering. (lola feels)

The CR is also spacious, we can even bathe together as a family -- one of the highlights of our stay.

Amenities

Since we brought Edmund with us, we make sure that we have a place for him to have fun. One thing I didn't like in the entire place is that they don't have a playground for kids but their pool was REALLY HUGE! They do have 3 pools available: 1 for kids (raging from 2 to 3 feet), and 2 for adults.

Edmund and Jerico really had a good time, although the adult pool was quite cold (because we swam in the afternoon) the kid's pool was warm and it was clean too- it just goes to show that the administration really took time to maintain the pool for it's owners and guests.

We also took time to have an afternoon walk in the pathways available which is a very nice and calming experience. I remember Jerico and I were talking about getting a unit there.

Accessibility

Trees Residences is just 5 minutes away from SM Fairview and Fairview Terraces. It is also near hospital like Commonwealth Hospital and schools like School of Saint Anthony and Mater Carmeli School.

Getting a Grab isn't challenging so it's easy to move from one location to another.

Also, commuting is not a hindrance because as soon as you go out from the premises, you can easily ride a public transport vehicle which is very good when you don't have any car during your staycation.

Child Friendly

The place is over all child approved for me!

Edmund surely enjoyed his stay and acted like the place was our new house. Although he sometimes stay alone in the bedroom, I didn't mind leaving him there because the beds were low, there's no harsh corners for walls, all doors are perfectly secured with a key.

Overall, our stay here was amazing! I didn't expect staycation with a toddler can be this fun. I refuse to bring him outside because I thought he'll be naughty or such but it all boils down to find a perfect staycation partner.

Francisco's Place Staycation has very nice owners and even agreed to make our check in earlier and very flexible to extend our check out with a minimal price. I am very grateful to meet this people and surely we will come back for another funcaytion here.
