Lip tints have been my essential in my makeup kit. It definitely changed my makeup game most especially when I became a mom, I literally need to do my entire face makeup in less than 5 minutes and with lip and cheek tints, it made my life easier.

Packaging

The packaging was very different, usually, the caps on the lip tints that I have on my stash are either black, white or silver but Pixie Dust's color of the cap are different each shade.

The label is very cute and there's a fairy on the label which I guess resembles the pixie. The name of the brand was printed and the name of the shade was at the middle.


At the back, you would see their ingredients but they change ingredients to 'magic elements' and I find it very witty,

There's also another quote that says "All you need is faith, trust, and a little Pixie Dust"



What's really impressing with their packaging is that they made an effort to include different bible verses- they have different bible verse per shade which is really amazing! I honestly believe that sometimes, we really need a little reminder that God is always with us.


The cap was twistable and their applicator was roller ball, the container was plastic and really light which is very perfect for your make up kit.

Shades

All in all, they have 8 shades o their line but I have 3 shades to try: Strawberry Dash (Pink), Apple Mist (Red) and Jelly Plum (Dark Violet).

If you have been a follower of mine for quite some time, you would know how much I love using lip tints, in fact, I somehow abandoned my lipsticks because of it. So here I am, with another swatch and first impression of Diva White PH's lip and cheek tint.


So far, this is one of the most affordable lip and cheek tint that I've tried next to Skin Genie that's why I'm really excited to share this with you guys because I know you will love to know my insights about this product.

Diva White is a lip safe cosmetic product with Aloe Leaf extract, a water-based tint.

Packaging

The packaging was very simple, white background on the sticker makes everything readable. I like the thought that they imprinted the expiration date on the cap which is helpful to monitor the expiration date of your purchase. The shades are also included in the label itself.



The container was I guess hard glass which luckily doesn't easily break when I dropped it. The cap was twistable and it has a roller ball applicator.

First Impression

I'm very impressed by how the product glides seamlessly on my lips, it's very hydrating leaving my lips moisturized as it sets on my face. Though the product consists an ingredient that makes my lips shiny, I was expecting that I will feel like as if I'm wearing a lipgloss but to my surprise, it feels lightweight and as the product sets, I didn't feel like I'm wearing anything on my lips.

The shades are very blendable, buildable to your preferred opacity and it's very pigmented.

The pink shades are perfect when you just want to achieve a natural lips the red shades, on the other hand, are very perfect for your cheeks, it suits my liking, you would think that it might not look good on you because it's dark, once you blended it on your cheeks, it gives you a natural glow which is perfect.

One thing I've noticed though is it takes time to set but the good thing about this is its buildable, most of the shades that I tried didn't settle on my inner lip, the only shade that I had a hard time applying and blending is the Love Bite because it sets on my inner lip though it's not a big deal because the product leaves a hint of the shade on my outer part of my lip it's just that the product looks darker on the inner lip nevertheless, I'm very impressed.

I've mentioned a while back (in my past video and blog post) that I am not a fan of violet, plum-ish colors because I feel like it doesn't look good on me but to my surprise, finally, I was able to find the brand that would make me change my mind- I found my perfect shade which is Magenta. I was really impressed by how vibrant and pigmented the shade is, it didn't set through my inner lip just like what I've experienced in most plum shade lip tints.

It smells like bubblegum, it has a slightly bitter taste when I tried it but that didn't affect my overall liking of the product. Furthermore, I also experienced teeth stain on darker shades.


Final Thoughts

I'm very impressed with the product, I am looking forward to trying more shades. I will most certainly use the Magenta which is my cup of tea. For the price of 80 pesos each, i's very affordable and you're getting your money's worth and more.

Making ends meet with a busy schedule is a tough job for me as a mother, I need to ensure that Edmund's health is my number one priority because we all know that health is wealth.

One thing that my mom taught me is to store is baby bottles, utensils to avoid bacterias but then I found out that storing your food inside your refrigerator may not be as safe as you thought it would be.


Did you know that when you store your food improperly this can lead to foodborne illnesses like Listeriosis?

Listeriosis is caused by the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. It is a serious infection that can be very dangerous to a pregnant woman, newborn children and even elderly. People who suffer from this can experience fever, muscle aches, nausea, diarrhea.

Fear not, I listed three (3) simple steps to ensure that your food is safe while sitting in your fridge waiting for it to be consumed

1. Consume your foods immediately

Check the use-by date or best before the date on your perishable goods because after the recommended date, the quality of the food will go down and the safety will be lessened as well.

2. Regularly check and clean your refrigerator

Bacteria develop when a specific area is unsanitized so to prevent bacteria on your food, you should clean your refrigerator thoroughly, don't forget to wipe the walls and shelves with hot water and mild detergent and rinse afterward.

Don't forget to throw your spoiled foods because this can also be a source of bacteria.

Your raw produce like meat, poultry, and fish should be kept away from your cooked meals. Keep them at the secured place to avoid drippings it is also recommended to use a tight container.

3. Check the temperature

The recommended temperature is at 40°F (4°C) or below and your freezer at 0°F (-18°C).

If the temperature is lowered that the recommended 4℃ the bacteria will slowly grow thus, as the temperature rises, the bacteria may grow faster and can result to spoilage, wastage and food poisoning.

Teresita's of San Fernando continues to flourish in sharing what Kapampangan food is all as they opened their newest branch at UP Town Center at Quezon City.

Teresita's is famous for their delicious halo-halo and their different approach with Filipino dishes that family will surely enjoy.


In celebration with their newest branch, Teresita's gave free halo-halo to their first 100 people who would visit the branch from 4PM onwards.

Indulge yourself with their famous Kapampangan Comfort Home Foods: Kare-Kare, Beef Caldereta, and Palabok.

Teresita's Kare-Kare is a little sweet than the usual that I've been eating but if you incorporate the sauce with the shrimp paste, everything goes well together. The beef was really tender and juicy.


Their palabok was really tasty, a savory dish. Noodles are tender and chicharon bits are very very crispy, making the dish overall yummy.


Their Beef Caldereta was very different as well. There's no hint of spiciness on the dish, the meat was also very tender and the sauce seeps through the meat.


Also, their halo-halo with sweetened banana and coconut topped with leche flan was very creamy and every bite is bursting with flavors that will play to your taste buds. As a first time mom, I am very excited to see his milestones. I've seen his first step, run, jump, heard his first word, experienced his first solid food of course and now, I'm very excited about something bigger- schooling. Aside from the fact that I'm really excited about buying school supplies, I am very excited to see him flourish in his academics and support him in different school activities.

Believe it or not, as early as know, I'm already canvassing through different schools and asking different parents their school recommendation.

I must admit, I have a very limited knowledge when it comes to different learning approaches because I only studied in one school during my elementary and high school years that's why I the only know the traditional way of learning little did I know that there are non-traditional schools available.


I was invited to one of the private school in Quezon City, Benedictine International School to learn about systems thinking which was one of the newest learning approaches in the country. Basically, this systems thinking school is training their students to see the bigger picture and how the parts of a system interact with each other, making each student more critical and emphatic as they make responsible choices with proper training and exposure to this way of thinking, individual increases his chance at personal success.

Being one of the pioneer schools who cater to systems thinking, Benedictine International School worked hard for years to become a Systems Thinking School. Taking two core modules on helping school administrators and owners build systems thinking schools and immersing young children in systems thinking via Camp Connect.

Systems Thinking Workshop

As one of the lucky mommy bloggers invited to experience what systems thinking is all about, we undergo different activities that would let us practice some of the habits of systems thinking.

1. Two truths and a lie

We were separated into three groups and each people from the group will say two facts and one lie about themselves and the other members had to guess which one was the lie.

2. Pastas and Marshmallow

The three groups was given 20 pcs of uncooked pasta, a masking tabe, a yarn and also a marshmallow. The teams should create a tower using the pastas and bind them using either the yarn or masking tape and the marshmallow should be put on the top of the tower.

What I've realized in the workshop is how this will eventually help the students in making decisions, thinking about the consequences of their actions which can be applied in real life situations and making them a responsible individual.
Benedictine International School and Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL)

Dealing with the emotion is one of the toughest challenges one could ever face, some may fall into depression and later on suicide. For BIS, it's important to know the emotional state of their students. 

During opening activities, the teacher will ask the students how are they feeling using their 'mood meter' that shows different expressions (happy, sad, excited, mad and scared) in that way the teacher would know the emotional state of each student for them to adjust on how they will facilitate their class.

Read-a-loud Session

Of course, the BIS didn't miss any chance to show us how interactive their approach to each student and showed us how to read aloud. This activity is perfect for mothers with toddlers to bond, have fun and learn at the same time.

School Tour

After the workshop, we were given a chance to see some of the facilities of the school.

BIS's facilities are all equipped with LCD projectors and airconditioned.

Their English Resource Center (ERC) is filled with a collection of Scholastica's books which all of the students would enjoy.


Their pre-elementary classrooms are very fun, bright and spacious, perfect for young ones who need to have enough time to work and learn at the same time. Furthermore, they cater to 15 students per classroom which are perfect for the teacher to close monitor the students.


Their classroom seating arrangement is very versatile, they sometimes change the seat's position from time to time to encourage their students in an open communication and to maintain a bond between the students.


Their playground is very perfect for children. It's also safe because it's still inside the school wherein the guards can be able to see them to avoid accidents.


There is also a play area near the guard house wherein kids can play while waiting for their service.
