5 Things I Learned in Using Rejuvenating Set

Hi Loves,

I heard several horror stories about their skin burning and irritated after they used a certain rejuvenating brand, or their skin worsen after using it for several months but in this video, I am not just going to share with you an update about my skincare journey with Dr. Love but I'm also going to give you my top 5 learnings in using Rejuvenating Set- who knows, it may help you improve your skin more.

Here's the update:

I have been using this brand for over 2 months and I must say- my skin definitely changed. My skin became lighter and my pimple marks lighten over time.
Although I'm still experiencing breakouts every now and then, I'm so glad that whenever I do spot treatment, the pimples are dried after 2 to 3 days.
My skin is lightening and I'm not experiencing any stingy or uncomfortable feeling which was a great thing. I think that the cold sensation I felt in the first month was because of too many dead skin cells; as the rejuvenating set has already been treated so there's no stingy feeling at all.

Purging is a part of the process

Purging or breakout is a reaction from the skin. As we all know, we are using chemical peeling and one of the processes is breaking out- it means that the product is working. When I experienced it, I freaked out but I'm very happy that Dr. Love's team helped me through the process and told me "It's alright." and let me continue using the product until the purging was gone.

Peeling is my 100% enemy

I really hate this process and worse, it was the longest one but it's just because the dead skin cells are starting to shed off. It's a part of the process.

So what to do when this happens?

If you feel stingy on the skin, you can stop using the toner for 1 week until the pain subsides and just continue using the cream. Reapply the sunblock cream often to ensure your skin is protected under the harmful rays of the sun.

What I did was add some water-based moisturizer and serum to ease the peeling.

If you don't have so many pimples, do a spot treatment

Spot treatment is just focusing on your pimples. It definitely worked for me- I just place the toner on a q tip or cotton and place it on the affected area- nothing more. After a few days, my pimples dry faster and it lessens the peeling.

Do not directly apply the soap on your face, lather it on your hands before washing your face

In the first week, I rubbed the soap on my face and the peeling was crazy most especially on the nose area. So when tried the lathering technique, the peeling was controllable either way, Dr. Love Soap was very mild and can be used in the body, so use the product gently.

Consistency is the key to success

Some rejuvenating sets may give instant effect in a week but this depends on how harsh the chemical contains in the product but there are instances that the pimples may break out right away.

But with Dr. Love, as I have mentioned the product was very mild and even if you don't use the product for quite some time (just like what happened to me because I'm busy AF) the break out didn't occur again.

Easiest Daily Makeup Look Using 3 Products

Hi Loves,

I'm starting to blog again. I'm trying my very best to bring back my social media life again- it's my first love this is why even though I'm lacking time, I still try my very best to squeeze in my content.

So how's everybody?

This 2021, I really wanted to spice things up with my lifestyle. I have been working from home for over 6 years (if I'm not mistaken) I have been cutting slack in giving myself love- and that means putting on make-up and dressing up for work.

This is what I have been lacking.

I became more comfortable wearing house clothes (even the oldest clothes, the bigger holes, the better) I don't even do my skincare or put basic lipstick on. My normal routine is to wake up, do my early morning task, take a bath, then do the rest of my remaining tasks.

I realized that for 2021 I wanted to do something different- something that would make me feel more confident, more productive, and more efficient. So I decided to give myself an hour or two to give my much-needed alone time just to pamper myself and make myself look presentable as much as I can.

This is why I am trying my best to wear make-up every morning before starting work.

So here's my OG skincare product- Dr. Love Rejuvenating Set. I actually made a First Impression Video for this Rejuvenating Set and up until now, I'm still loving the effect on my face.

The set retails for only 350 pesos. It has three products that you can use on a daily basis- Soap & Toner (for morning & evening use), Daily Cream (that can be used in the morning), and Night Cream (for night time).

I don't have many pimples on my face so whenever I encounter maskne, I do a spot treatment and it works wonders.

Next on the list is the basic- face powder and eyebrows, I don't have a particular product to use but on the video, I used Ever Bilenna and the Etude House.

The last and final product is Modern Day Beauty's Ultra Matte Lip and Cheek Tint. This product retails for only 160 pesos but it is worth more than that- it's definitely pigmented, flexible and buildable with a matte finish.

In the video, I'm using Bonnie. I really love the brick red finish it gives to my lips- very soft yet matte. I also use it on my cheeks and lips; I use other shades on my eyes (for a different look).

Make Your Skin and Body Healthier With These 4 Simple Steps

Hello, It's me, Mhownai, Your Millennial Nanay,

We all have one goal- TO BE HEALTHIER! We really need to make our bodies stronger to fight against this COVID-19. Since we are under the enhanced community quarantine and all malls are now closed and most online shops and establishments are closed there's only one question to the beauty community: Where can I buy my beauty care needs?

Now that most of our supplies are running out, I know we will have a hard time to supply and take care of our skin.

So let's take time and hit two birds in one stone. Shall we?

Sleep at least 8 hours a day

Everyone is encouraged to stay at home to avoid ourselves to be infected with this virus and spread it to other people. So take this opportunity to take enough sleep. Relax, be comfortable. Gather the sleep that you deprive yourself for a very long time. Although yes, some of you may be working from home, in my next couple of blogs, I will share with you my personal tips and tricks to be more productive at home.
Eat a healthy diet

The best thing to improve our health is to eat healthier meals. Now that we have a sacristy with food supplies, this is the time to include vegetables in your diet. You can save more money because vegetables are cheaper than processed meals: that's a fact and also, you can also help your body flush down toxins and bacteria in our body.

Random fact: I was very constipated for the longest time and when I switched my diet and eat as many vegetables as I can, I can now withdraw every day! A huge improvement. Also, I noticed that my body became lighter and I feel more energized since I started eating more vegetables.
Hydrate

This is one of the cheapest ways to achieve clearer skin and a healthier body. Water is the best way to flush down toxins in your body. In some articles that I have read, you would see if you are dehydrated or not is by checking your urine- if your urine is dark orange or yellow and has a foul odor, you surely need to step up with your hydration but if the color of your urine is light and has no odor, then you are good to go.

Your skin needs hydration, instead of using moisturizers to make your skin bouncy, you might as well try the old trick of rubbing your face with a piece of ice. It's my personal favorite beauty regime, it shrinks my pores and it makes my skin brighter.
Cleanse your body

Although you stay at home all day every day until further notice, you need to take time to clean your body. Shower thoroughly, use soap and loofah to rub away dead skin cells. To achieve a better skin, exfoliate every other day to remove other particles that loofah wasn't able to remove. Most importantly, use a lotion to bring back the moisture that was stripped away from your skin.
